Condolence: To my dearest Josie, you are deeply missed in my heart. I may have been no Bill on the dance floor but I am glad we were able to share your last dances together. As your caregiver, we were able to share so many silly laughs together because what was immanent never dampened your truly vibrant spirits, ever. You had a deep love of your children and husband which always kept you ignited. My memories of you are always fond and know you are at peace with your next journey. Until we meet again...Love May.

Condolence: It was with a great privilege to have known you, remembering the hours you spent upholstering our furniture by hand and the beautiful job you did. Also for our 25th Silver you made the most beautiful photo album that we will cherish. Watching you and Bill dance was a beautiful thing.

Condolence: Josie opened her home to me, a young Canadian girl travelling, on a Saturday eve in 1983. She had never met me before. I never left and we happily became family. Josie epitomized grace, kindness, acceptance and loyalty. Her strength, integrity and devotion to her family, her friends, and her husband are to be admired; and for myself are an inspiration and a benchmark as a woman. She always made one feel welcomed and cherished. Distance and time made phone calls fewer, but I was always cheered by her familiar cackle and great wit when we did manage to reconnect. Josie’s generosity of spirit will always be with me and our family. Everyone who met her fell in love with her. Thank you to all the Sewell’s for the gift of Josie’s love. She will forever live in my heart.

Condolence: Josie was my friend. Since Bill and Josie first came to The Billy, singing and dancing, Bill gazing lovingly into her eyes; since they first joined me for weekly golf games; her smiles and laughter, indomitable Geordie spirit. I miss her.

Condolence: Josie 'The Tiny Dancer', one of a kind. I wasn't surprised when they decided to move to Canada, even though they had the most beautiful home in Newcastle, England. Lovely old pubs each side of them, lots of golf and dancing, but adventurous and fun loving I knew they would enjoy their new life. The memory that sticks out for me was when I was in a limo downtown Vancouver, I had'n't seen Josie for years and I spotted her and Bill walking down the street. We pulled over of course and as soon as I opened the door and she realised there was a party going on, she asked if she could get in, Bill wasn't having any of it though, haha. A life full of love, laughter, dancing and fun, not many have that. God bless Josie xx

Condolence: Much admiration when Josie and Bill made to move to Canada to enjoy life in Vancouver. When the girls were younger they enjoyed watching them dance, especially on Sunday afternoons at the False Creek Community Centre.
We have so many happy memories of numerous Christmas dinners spent together with lots of laughter and fun times.
Thinking about you all,
Love Helen, Malcolm, Katie and Mirren.
