Obituary for Josephine Sewell (Wilkes)

Josephine Sewell (Wilkes)
Sewell, Josephine (Josie, nee Wilkes)
August 7th, 1931 – March 4th, 2017

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of dear Josie after a long and valiant battle with cancer.
Survived by her loving husband Bill and adoring children Maureen and Terence.
Josie was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, one of 10 brothers and sisters. With her husband Bill, she later called Vancouver home and enjoyed some 20+ years of West Coast Canadian life. Josie and Bill loved ballroom dancing and spent more than 60 years of dancing together, gliding effortlessly over many a dance floor. Unfortunately even 60 years more would not have been enough for this great love story. They could often be found at the Billy Bishop Canadian Legion in Kitsilano where they and their friends enjoyed some wonderful times together.
