The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Wan Dong can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

My first sleepover

My first sleepover was actually with "Ah Mo", as we all called her.  I was about 3 or 4 years old, and my parents and 2 brothers went away (where to, I have no idea).  I was left with your mom and dad for overnight, and I remembered crying at night.  "Ah Mo" took me in her arms and laid with me until I fell asleep, and everything was okay after that.

I have so many memories of "Ah Mo", but I always remembered how she always had yummy buns, dumplings, or rice rolls to snack on.  And how she always gave me permission to plunk away on Diane's piano.  That meant so much to me.

I'm so glad my mom and I (and my daughter) finally had a chance to visit "Ah Mo" again in November of 2014.  "Ah Mo" looked so spry and content, as she always did when she lived in Hanna.  She was such a lovely person and was a huge part of our family back in the Hanna days.
