Otto

I am Arnt. I am Otto`youngest uncle. In my family we were ten children, six girls and four boys. I was the youngest and Otto`s mother the oldest. When I was three years I told my mother that I wantet a brother. At that time my mother was between 46 and 47 years old. I had no idea about such things; I just wantet a little brother. Then it happened that Otto`mother married and she got pregnant. Now my mother told me that I soon would get a brother. And it happend. I was 4 years when Otto was born. In more than ten years we were brought up in the same house. When you are a kid and the oldest one, you sometimes like to be the boss. I remember espesially one situation when I tried to be Otto`s boss. I said to Otto : call me uncle. Otto said no, I won`t. Once again I said : call me uncle. But Otto Said no. I grabbed him in his chest, but Otto said no. I will not call you uncle. I think he looked upon me more like a brother, just what I wantet too. In all the years afterwords I have been thinking of this incident : -Even in young age he showed a strong character, a quality he brought with him the rest of his life. Otto was a man without enemies. All he met liked him. All of us in the family loved him. For me personally it is a great loss. I will miss him the rest of my life. God bless you all.
