Robert Matthew Donald
April 26, 1941 - June 25, 2017

Robert (Dear, Dad) passed away suddenly Sunday morning June 25, 2017 at the age of 76.
Bob was born in New Westminster in the Royal Columbian hospital. He is predeceased by both parents William and Ethel. Also by his sister Diane, and brothers, William and Arnold. He is survived by his loving family: Wife, Jeanne, Son James, and Daughter, Susan.

Bob had a strong personality, he spoke the truth, his family was always on his mind, their problems were his until solved. He was a generous man with a strong work ethic; no job was done until it was perfect. He worked at Scott Paper for 44 years.
He loved to hunt and fish and was very good at both. His younger years he had a passion for horses and owned up to five at one time, he also owned a hobby farm, had eleven head of cattle, dogs cats and chickens. He also planted a garden with the help of his wife Jeanne shoveling out the manure to make the tastiest of vegetables.Fun day for Jeanne shoveling!
Bob did as much maintenance on the house and vehicles as possible, he was gifted mechanically and passed much knowledge on to his son Jim, who is thankful that he did.
Vacations were always spent outdoors with a fishing pole close by. Bob was fondly remembered as “Paper Bob” at the CostaLotta campground where he and his family spent 25 years Salmon fishing; located in Qualicum beach (north).
The latter years were spent at the family 5th Wheel, at a comfortable campground at Qualicum Bay near the ocean. Bob was proud of his summer home and had pride in the countless hours of work perfecting the deck and storage house.
Not all vacations were spent on Vancouver Island, he and Jeanne made several trips to the Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico. Bob especially loved Cuba and the friends both he and his wife made there.
He will be missed by all of his friends and family, but will always be remembered in our hearts.

You did so many things for us
