Obituary for Gerry Desrosiers

Gerry Desrosiers
Emile Gerard Desrosiers
June 13, 1932- Feb 8, 2017

We said our final goodbyes to our Dad, Gerry Desrosiers, on Feb 8, 2017 at the age of 84. He passed away peacefully and will be reunited with his wife, Gwen, who predeceased him in 2012.

He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his children, Denise (Scott), Dean, Lindalou (Nelson), Loriann (Terry) and grandchildren Evan, Drew, Ian, Heather, Heidi, Joshua as well as his siblings Gilbert, Anita and Helene. He also leaves behind friends and relatives across Canada.

Gerry was born and raised in Manitoba and left home to pursue a career in banking in Chateauguay, Quebec. He later switched to real estate which he truly enjoyed as it gave him a lot of opportunity to connect with people. After his retirement in 1999, he and Gwen left Chateauguay to move to Langley, B.C. to be closer to their children.

Gerry was always a social man and had many friends who liked to drop in to visit. Everyone was welcomed at the Desrosiers home and Gerry was never at a loss for stories to tell.

The family would like to thank staff at New Vista, Dad’s home for the last 4 years, for their care and warmth.

A celebration of his life will occur later this year when he is laid to rest with his beloved Gwennie.
