In loving memory of Norman Kay Bjarnason who lived in Hope, BC. He passed peacefully in his home on December 17th, 2025, at 78 years old.
Norm is predeceased by his parents Martin and Dorothy (Afi & Amma), brother Allan, and brother in-law John M.
He is survived by his children Martin, James and Salina (Darren), sisters Elinor (Peter), Margret, brother John (Mendo), sister in-law Janet. As well as grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He enjoyed working in his home shop on 248th in Aldergrove where he was especially fond of working on tractors, the family would attend the tractor fair annually in Lynden, WA, and have many fond memories from those times. He was an avid player of scratch & wins and had an eclectic collection of old tools and knick knacks, including his green 1978 Ford F-250, which he still had after 47 years.
He was a member of the IOUE Local 115 as a heavy-duty mechanic for 48 years, with many years spent at Miller Contracting.
Norm was a man of few words and will be missed.
