Louise Mary Anne Perry-Bater

d. Aug 12, 2026

Burnaby

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Perry-Bater of Burnaby, BC on August 12, 2026. She passed peacefully at the care home she had lived in in Burnaby for the last 4 years. Her husband Clark and daughter Kami were with her.

Born to Brian and Rollande Perry in Ottawa, Ontario in 1955, Louise was the eldest of 5 children. She is predeceased by both her parents and her brother Andy Perry.

A kind, loving soul, Louise spent her life giving to and caring for others. She worked with people with special needs for many years, mainly in the L’Arche communities in Victoria and Ottawa. She also had a long and successful career as a nurse, specializing in post-partum care and lactation consulting.

Louise always enjoyed nature and the outdoors. She spent a great deal of her spare time camping, canoeing and kayaking with her family and friends. She was a great swimmer!

She is survived by her husband Clark, her children Kami, Micah and Etienne, her beloved grandson, Atticus and by her siblings, Anne, Carol and Vincent Perry.

A Celebration of Life will be held for her at 2pm Saturday, August 22 at St. Andrews-Wesley United Church in downtown Vancouver.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Louise's honour to the BC Alzheimer’s Society.
