Kimiye Uyeyama passed away peacefully on September 29th at the age of 96. Kimiye was predeceased by her husband Noboru (Norman) Uyeyama.
Kimiye will be loved and missed by her son Shig (Danielle) and daughter Midori (Colin), grandchildren; Eric (Tanya), Emilie, Louis-Marc (Michelle); great grandchildren Damien, Tristan and Theo.
Kimiye loved to travel, garden, do arts and crafts, flower arranging and Japanese dance.
The family would like to thank Tara, Dr. Tanaka, nurses, staff, volunteers, the Nikkei Seniors Home along with St. Michael’s Hospice and Burnaby General Hospital.
Kimiye’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Nikkei Centre Lobby located at 6688 Southoaks Crescent in Burnaby on Sunday October 7th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nikkei Seniors Home.
