Joyce Olds

Joyce Olds left this life on May 9th, 2022 in her 87th year. Joyce was born to John and Katherine Lewco on September 30th,1935 in Winnipeg Manitoba and trained as a Registered Nurse at the Misericordia Hospital, graduating in 1956.
In 1957 she married Donald Russell Olds and they began their married life in the Northwest Territories where Joyce nursed in Fort Smith and worked in Public Health in Hay River. In 1966, Don and Joyce moved to B.C. where Joyce worked in the 100 Mile House and Hope hospitals. Joyce and Don were blessed with three children Donald John (Ofra), Beverly June and Graham Ross (Jannine) and eight amazing grandchildren.
Joyce loved road trips to visit family and friends all over the continent, gardening, nature, travel, walking with friends and cooking - especially her special Ukrainian food and holiday treats. Her boundless energy, generosity and sharing will always be remembered and her helping hands, kindness and amazing smile will be treasured forever by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Canadian Red Cross , Ukrainian Relief in memory of Joyce and her proud Ukrainian Heritage.
