John (Papa) passed away peacefully after a short illness at 84. John grew up in North Vancouver, BC, the oldest of a large, blended family of 20 siblings. John is predeceased by his mother Margret Crock and his Father John Teronhioton Jacobs. Siblings predeceased by him: Baby Bonnie, Baby Wesley, Herman, Gordie, Dougie, Terry. John is survived by Stepdaughter, Karen Costain,Son, John Scott Jacobs, Daughter, Jennifer Jacobs, Grandchildren Michelle Jacobs and Bryan Costain Siblings: Judy, Jimmy, Tommy, Ricky, Linda, Leslie, Michael, Mark, Mathew, Joseph, Geraldine, Lucy, Veronica, Belinda; many nieces and nephews plus extended family.

John worked for the West Vancouver School Board, retiring after 42 years. In retirement years, he enjoyed joining social leagues for pool, shuffleboard, and darts. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his Grandaughter as well as many hobbies: coin collecting and gardening. He was a longtime member of the F.O.E #2638 ,The Legion

In his younger years he was an active curler and bowler ,becoming the president of the Moodyville Lions club in the early 80's where he focus on raising money for sick kids through Timmys telethon work ,many funderaisers.he was a big part in opening the easter seals camp for kids Papa, you will always be remembered for your charm, humor, stubbornness, your most giving nature and love for children. No service by his own request as he would like his friends and family to remember him with love and the good times he wishes all those he loved nothing but happiness. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to BC Children's Hospital.
