Heather Anne Halliwell (Nee Pennock), age 76, passed away in the evening of May 25, 2021. She was born February 14, 1945 in Ottawa Ontario to Roma (nee Lavalley)and Emerson Pennock, making her sister to Dale Pennock (deceased).
Heather’s soul was enhanced by her involvement with her family’s faith in the Christian Science philosophy’s and later with the Job’s Daughters Shriner’ organization.
Her childhood was spent with a short time in London Ontario then in Ottawa’s Westborough and later in Britannia where her parents had bought the Pleasant View Motel. She married the love of her life, David Malcolm Halliwell in October of 1966. Upon marrying there was a short stint in Crystal Bay then on to the first house purchased, in Stittsville Ont. There Heather started a career in cosmetology hairdressing out of her home and having her first child. She should have won a Nobel Prize for her commitment to friends, family and the honourable position of housekeeping.
In 1972 David and Heather travelled to B.C., settling in Hammond for many years and then Pitt Meadows. She was a loving, kind, caring, saucy and fun wife and worlds best mother and grandmother. She and David made many friends who will miss her dearly.
In 2016 Heather was diagnosed with B Cell Lymphoma and follicular cancer while down in Yuma, Arizona with David. Her fight was a good one and she kicked that cancers ass! We admired her strength and courage, she never complained once. She was a trooper and our hero. Unfortunately because of this, or a possible blood clot, her lungs were severely damaged leaving her physically compromised and on oxygen constantly. A fall broke her hip and one day after a successful surgery she passed.
