It is with sorrow and immense love that we mourn the peaceful passing of Graeme Wright. His kind heart and generous spirit touched those around him. He will be deeply missed by the love of his life, Barb, his brother, Brent, his sister, Anne, his nephew, Scott, and the close cousins and friends whose lives he touched. He was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Evelyn and niece, Jennifer.
Graeme was born in Vancouver. His love for motorcycles music and guitars, started at a young age. When just an inventive elementary schoolboy, a mischievous exploration into electronics experiments resulted in an unsuspecting neighbourhood friend receiving a mild electric shock from a door handle, an incident which he felt badly about afterwards.
At the age of fifteen, Graeme purchased his first motorcycle, which led to a lifelong passion for cars and motorcycles. His later hobbies included photography, world history, amateur radio, collecting and repair of antique radios. Graeme was kind, generous, funny, and quick witted. He was unique and was charming with everyone he came in contact with, he made complete strangers feel at ease. His quick and ever present smile lit up the room and will be dearly missed by all. Many deep and enriching conversations were had with Graeme where he shared his depth of wisdom and keen insights from his life experience.
We honour him with laughter, music, and gratitude for having known him. A celebration of life for Graeme will be held at a future date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) or a charity of your choice.
