It is with a heavy heart to announce the sudden passing of Garry Donald McIvor, born on April 20, 1935, passed away on December 28, 2022. He passed away at the Eagle Ridge Hospital due to Covid Pneumonia.
Garry leaves behind his wife Joy, his children Dana, Brenda (Darcy), step son Michael Kory (Jan), grandchildren Cameron and Liam Milan, Kim Petkau and great grandson Liam Petkau.
Garry was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a man who endured many challenges in his life but was always there for his family and friends. He has a special place in so many hearts and will be remembered fondly. He loved to reminisce of his days in the navy and loved sharing his stories.
Garry would like all of his family and friends to remember all the good times they shared. There will not be a service and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the BC Cancer Foundation.
