Deborah Judith Cheverie

In loving memory of Deborah Judith Cheverie (Deer) who passed away unexpectedly at home in Vancouver, BC on October 3, 2025. Deborah was born on November 21,1955 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She married John Gary Cheverie (passed in 2009) on June 17, 1977. They started their family in Nova Scotia with Lea, moved on to Goose Bay, Labrador, then grew the family with Andrew & Aaron in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In the 1980’s, Deborah put down roots in Steveston, a little fishing village not unlike her childhood home in Eastern Passage, NS. Deborah loved the ocean and always considered Nova Scotia her home, and was able to visit a few times in her later years. Deborah is survived by her children Lea (Patrick) Andrew (Nicole) and Aaron (Judi) and her four grandchildren, Gary, Hannah, Charlee and Archie. Deborah was loving, humorous, loyal and devout in her faith. She made friends everywhere she went and could strike up a conversation with almost anyone. Every story has an ending, and Deborah wrote her story with humour, courage, and love. She will be missed by all who knew her. There will be a memorial service November 8th at 4pm at Grandview Kingdom Hall 2462 S Grandview Hwy, Vancouver, BC.
