With heavy hearts and deep love, we share the passing of our beloved Christine Thompson, who left this world peacefully on January 21st, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Sarnia, Ontario, Christine carried with her a grace and warmth that touched everyone she met. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend - someone whose presence brought comfort, beauty, and joy into the lives of those around her.
Christine had a love for the finer things in life and an eye for elegance in all she did. Her outfits were always perfectly coordinated, her home was thoughtfully designed, and she had a gift for making every gathering feel special. She truly loved to entertain, filling her space with laughter, conversation, and the comfort of good company.
Her kitchen was also a place of love. Christine was an incredible baker, and her Christmas goodies became a treasured tradition and something her family eagerly looked forward to year after year. Those sweet moments, shared through her baking, will remain some of the most cherished memories of all.
She also enjoyed her happy hour evenings with friends, moments of connection, fun, and friendship that reflected her vibrant and social spirit.
Above all else, Christine’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 53 years, Reg Thompson; her son, Jason (Jessica); and her beloved grandchildren, Hunter and Kenzie, who brought her endless happiness.
She also leaves behind her sister, Estelle, her brother, Wayne, and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love.
Christine passed away at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, British Columbia. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional medical team for their compassion, care, and support during her final days.
Christine will be remembered for her kindness, her style, her welcoming heart, and the love she so freely gave.
Thank you, Christine, for the beauty you brought into this world and the warmth you shared with all who knew you.
You will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
