Anna Poleski

It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Barbara Poleski announces her sudden passing in her family home on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020, at the age of 69 years. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Robert Poleski and her children, Eva Faith (Steve Faith) and Tom Poleski.

She was born to the late Zofia and Winchenty Aleksandrowicz on July 26th 1950, in Augustow Poland. Anna graduated with a degree in TeleCommunications from the University of Warsaw. She married Robert on November 29th,1975 and they moved to Robert's hometown of Białystok, Poland where she worked as a Telephone Technician for the Regional Telecommunication Department. Anna, Robert and their 2 children immigrated to Canada in 1982 and received their Canadian Citizenship in1986.

Anna was a dedicated and loving mother and wife. She was funny, kind, creative and loved animals, taking in stray cats and donating to animal rights charities. Anna left her family and friends behind in Poland to create a better life for her children in Canada and she is remembered and thanked deeply by her family for this courageous sacrifice.

A Celebration of Life in memory of Anna will be held on Sunday July 26th, 2020 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m, at the home of Robert Poleski at 9227 - 150th Street, Surrey BC. Those who desire so may make memorial donations in memory of Anna to the BC SPCA or Big Brothers and Sisters Canada, two foundations she believed in and supported in her life.
