Obituary for Phyllis Margaret Sanderson (Miller)

It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Sanderson announce her passing. Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her children Bill (Lee), Wendy and Mike.

Born February 27th, 1941, in Olds, Alberta to Henry and Bertha Miller. Phyllis grew up on a farm in James River, Alberta with her two sister Francis (pre-deceased) and Jean. One of her favourite stories to tell was how all three shared the same horse, that they would all ride to and from school with one of them always falling off.

Phyllis and her husband, William (Bill) Sanderson (pre-deceased) moved the family to Coquitlam, BC in 1966. Phyllis especially enjoyed walks around beautiful Como Lake which was close to her home that she shared with her beloved well-spoiled cat, Angel.

Phyllis will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family and friends, her Infection laugh that would turn into endless giggles, her kindness in helping others in need, her love of dancing which usually would have her as the first one on the dance floor and the last one leave.
Phyllis was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Detail on the Celebration of Life to be shared later.

You can shed tears that she is gone

Or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her

Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday

Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember her and only that she is gone

Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love, and go on.
