Obituary for Patrick Trainner

With much sadness, we said goodbye to Patrick Trainner, who passed away peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital on Nov. 24, 2020.

Patrick was born in Greenock, Scotland Oct. 15, 1946. He was also known as Patrick Adams growing up, as he was fortunate to have two families - The Trainners (parents Hugh and Elizabeth. Siblings - Bobby, Hughie, Jim, Eileen, Margaret, Anne) and the Adams (Parents Bobby and Francis. Siblings- Isa, Mary, Hannah, Margaret) who called him their son and brother.

Patrick married the love of his life, Elizabeth Fisher at 19 and had two children, Patrick (Erin) and Linda (Robert). He was very proud of his grandchildren, Ainsley, Jenna, Abbie, Skyler & Elliote, In Scotland he worked as a craftsmen slater until he brought his family to Vancouver, Canada in 1982. He became a grain worker at Saskatchewan Wheat Pool until he retired in 2006.

The other love in Patrick’s life was his Celtic Football Club. He spent many memorable times with his fellow Celtic supporters and made many friends though the Celtic supporters Club, AA and the tight Scottish community he was a part of.

Pat will always be remembered for his quick wit, endless joke telling, ability to talk to anyone and everyone and leave them laughing. He is sorely missed.
