Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Maliwat; his children, Anthony and Gabriella; his parents, Leonora and Carlos Maliwat; and his sister, Elaine Lum. He was the kindest, most thoughtful husband, father, brother and son.

Patrick was born on September 23, 1983 in Vancouver, BC. He met his wife Amanda in 2004. They married in 2009 and his two beautiful children were born a few years later. Patrick was a devoted father and husband and enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved to spend time with his family: watching his daughter dance, enjoying his son compete in swim or water polo, playing video games with the kids, or going on date nights with his wife. He especially loved family vacations on Maui - his favourite place in the world. Music was a large part of his life; he loved playing guitar and always had music playing in the house. He loved being outdoors no matter what he was doing. His sense of humor was unmatched and is one of the things that everyone remembers about him.

His departure comes as a great shock, and it is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply in his wide network of friends, colleagues and community members. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time.
