Obituary for Anna May Kroeker (McCabe)

Anna May Kroeker (nee McCabe) was born in Drumchonion, Co. Monaghan, Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 1956. She is survived by her husband William Kroeker, brother Terence (Kathleen), daughters Valerie Doyle (Gerard) and Sheila Wong (Joe), 5 grandchildren Fiona, Liam, Kari, Siobhan, and Marc, and predeceased by brother Sean and sister Pauline. She leaves behind family, nieces & nephews in Ireland, as well as multiple friends around the world. Anna May was a notable volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital, St. Peter’s Church, and well involved with the Stewart School of Irish Dance, and the Irish community. Anna May may have been stubborn and spoke her mind but she was selfless. She put others before herself and helped anyone in need. She was the person that was last to the dinner table, just to make sure your plate was full. Whether she knew it or not Anna May created a legacy for herself not by who she was but how she made others feel. She will forever be in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers we ask you to make a donation in her name to the Canucks Autism Network, Cancer Society or any organization close to your heart.

Due to COVID restrictions there will only be a private mass service.
