Angie had an interesting and varied life, from her teens working as a nanny to the children of the French consul in Vancouver, to working in a plywood mill, then work in retail. Eventually she moved with her husband Bert and children to the Cariboo where they owned and ran a country store and gas station.
In her 40'sĀ Angie took courses in order to change direction, finding work for the RCMP in Williams Lake as a dispatcher, then for Corrections/Parole Board in the lower mainland where she spent the rest of her career, retiring at 60. Angie and Bert were happy hosting family and friends at their place at the lake, and enjoyed several motorhome trips into the U.S. and across Canada. In her retirement she also volunteered with the Cancer Society, driving patients to their medical appointments.
Angie enjoyed playing poker, cribbage, Bingo and Scrabble. She was pre-deceased by husband Bert Cayer and a foster son Robert Garbitt. She will be missed by her children Corinne (Roth), Larry, Carmen, Claudette (Bejtovic) and their families.
